Quad Communities Development Corporation Board Member, Rebecca Holbrook

Receives an Award of Appreciation for Volunteering.

April was Volunteer Appreciation Month and the annual University of Chicago Medicine (UCM) volunteer banquet (held on April 25th) provided an opportunity for UCM leadership to express their appreciation for the countless hours of service that our internal and external volunteers donate to the organization. This year, Ms. Rebecca Holbrook received special recognition for her consistent dedication to SSHVS.

Ms. Holbrook has over 20 years of experience in community-oriented programs within the health care field.  She previously directed a state-wide, health disparities elimination program at the Illinois Maternal and Child Health Coalition and directed a health education program with Planned Parenthood Chicago.  Ms. Holbrook has been involved with the Studies since 2008, lending her expertise to the work of the Ethics and Human Subjects, Epidemiology, and Community Engagement Working Groups.

Congratulations, Ms. Holbrook, and thank you to all of our community partners and volunteers for the support that you provide to the Studies!

(L-R) Susan Peters, University of Chicago Medicine Community Relations Manager, Rebecca Holbrook, SSHVS Volunteer
